Assosa University has launched a two-day Accreditation Training for all department heads to strengthen efforts toward achieving national and international program accreditation.
The training is organized by the University Education Quality Improvement Directorate and delivered by experts from the Ethiopian Education and Training Authority (ETA) and Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU).
Opening the program, Dr. Abdulmuhsin Hassen, Academic Vice President of ASU, highlighted Ethiopia’s ongoing education reforms, including university differentiation, autonomy, and industry linkages. He also emphasized the importance of accreditation in ensuring quality education for national development and urged participants to actively engage in the sessions for implementation.
Over the two days, the training will cover ETA standards and indicators, fundamentals of accreditation, national and international accreditation environments, document preparation, and practical exercises.
