Assosa University council has conducted an extensive discussion on the 2019 E.C. budget year plan, following a review of the university’s 2018 E.C. performance report.
The draft plan was presented by Mr. Takele Mekonnen, Executive Director for Assosa University Strategic Affairs, who explained that the 2019 E.C.budget year plan is derived from the university’s five-year strategic plan (2018–2022 E.C.)፣ KPI and Educational Development plan.
The meeting was chaired by Assosa University President, Dr. Yared Mulu, who led the discussion on the detailed activities to be implemented in the 2019 E.C. budget year. He emphasized the importance of collective agreement during the planning stage to ensure effective execution and measurable results across all sectors.
Council members divided under five sessions to provide feedback and recommendations on specific activities. Their inputs were consolidated into actionable directions, with a strong call to focus on achieving integrated outcomes in the year ahead.
Additional improvement ideas were raised and clarified during the session, ensuring the plan reflects both institutional priorities and stakeholder perspectives.
Finally, the Council agreed that the draft plan, enriched by the collected feedback, will be formally endorsed and put into action in the coming days.
