Assosa University held discussions with Dr. Mussarrat Yousuf, UNICEF Ethiopia Country Education Specialist, on the ongoing project titled “Cultivating National Evaluation Excellence in Ethiopia: Academic Partnership with Assosa University, Benishangul Gumuz.”
The meeting introduced Assosa University President Dr. Yared Mulu to the initiative, which is under implementation across Oromia, Gambella, Tigray, and Benishangul Gumuz regions with funding support of USD 297,714.
Dr. Yared reaffirmed the University’s strong commitment to the project’s success, while Dr. Mussarrat commended Assosa University’s dedication and teamwork, noting UNICEF’s confidence in the institution’s leadership and capacity.
This project aimed to strengthen national evaluation excellence, evidence based decision-making and localized evaluation systems in Ethiopia through partnership among Assosa University, UNICEF, government institutions and development partners.
