



Assosa University and IMPACT Initiatives have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on development programs, with a particular focus on joint research initiatives.
IMPACT Initiatives, a Geneva-based NGO, is recognized as the largest independent data provider in crisis contexts.
Its mission is to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian, stabilization, and development efforts through data-driven approaches, strategic partnerships, and capacity-building programs.
As an applied university with a dynamic and energetic academic staff, Assosa University expressed strong interest in working closely with IMPACT Initiatives.
Both parties agreed to establish a technical team to oversee and implement the terms of the agreement.
During the signing ceremony, Dr. Yared Mulu, President of Assosa University, expressed his appreciation for IMPACT Initiatives’ decision to partner with the institution.
On behalf of IMPACT Initiatives, Joelle Melin, Head of Project and Partnership Support, highlighted the organization’s experience collaborating with higher education institutions in Ethiopia to address sustainable community needs.
She emphasized their enthusiasm for working with Assosa University.
