




Assosa University convened a progress review meeting on the Bambasi Health & Demographic Surveillance System (BHDSS) Project.
The progress evaluation meeting was held with the presence of Assosa University President Dr. Yared Mulu, the Vice President for Research and Technology Dr. Oumer Sherif, project coordinators, and staff members.
During the session, Mr. Diriba Etana, BHDSS Project Coordinator, presented the progress report, outlining activities implemented with support from the Vital Strategies/Impact HDSS Project. His presentation highlighted key achievements, operational challenges, and future priorities.
Participants engaged in extensive discussions on project outcomes, sustainability concerns, and strategies to strengthen institutional support.
The meeting underlined the importance of enhancing partnerships, promoting the use of HDSS data for research and evidence-based policymaking, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project.
