Assosa University Launches Research Training for Female Educators

Assosa University has taken a bold step toward academic inclusivity and excellence by launching a specialized training program in research and publishing for its female university teachers.

The initiative, which runs from August 20–22, 2025, is designed to strengthen the role of women in research work and publication.

Dr. Abdulmuhsin Hassan, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, opened the program with an inspiring message, emphasizing the importance of female representation in research, publication and the university’s commitment to fostering gender equity in academia.

The training is being led by Dr. Yigardu Mulatu, a respected scholar known for her dedication to capacity building and academic mentorship.
Over the course of three days training, participants will gain hands-on experience in research works, publications, and navigating academic journals according to the program.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in Assosa University’s efforts to empower female educators and promote a culture of research excellence. By equipping women with the tools and confidence to publish their work, the university is helping shape a more inclusive and innovative academic landscape.
