A two-day training program on Designing and Implementation of Thematic Researches launched today, bringing together researchers and academic leaders to strengthen research capabilities in Ethiopian universities.
Dr. Abdlmuhsin Hassen, Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer, commenced the interactive training session. In his opening remarks, Dr. Abdlmuhsin emphasized the growing implementation of thematic research across universities and highlighted the trainingโ€™s significance in enhancing researchersโ€™ competencies in this area.
Mr. Alebachew Birhan, representing the Ministry of Education, underscored that the initiative aligns with broader research reforms aimed at developing essential skill sets and establishing support systems to facilitate universitiesโ€™ transition toward thematic research approaches.
The training is being conducted by Professor Masresha Fetene, an Emeritus Professor from Addis Ababa Univesity. Prof. Masreshaโ€™s expertise in academic research and leadership adds significant value to this capacity-building initiative.
The training program will continue tomorrow, furthering efforts to strengthen research capabilities across Ethiopian academic institutions.
