Dean’s Message

College of Health Sciences was established in 2015. I am inspired by what we have achieved since the establishment of the college and energized to make missions accomplished in the future. With our vision as the aim, guided by our core values and principles, we strive for excellence in everything we do.

College of Health Sciences’ vision is to be the leading in promoting and improving health through excellence in education, research, community engagement, innovation and partnership by working in close collaboration with institutions in the country, with overseas and all stockholders in responding to the ever-changing health needs of the community.

The College of Health Sciences is an exciting, dynamic environment where students and faculty members are engaged in classroom and practice-based activities, research, and service in our five disciplines: Public Health, Comprehensive Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, and Medical Laboratory Science in Undergraduate programs and MPH in General Public Health, MPH in Reproductive Health and M.Sc. in Health Informatics in Graduate programs. The staffs are committed to capacitating students so that they become skilled practitioners and leaders in their fields who will, in turn, impact the lives of the patients and community they serve.  Furthermore, our staffs are disciplined, energetic and hard-working young academician and researchers. Our college advances student learning through a nationally recognized faculty, by promoting diversity and teamwork, and by assessing our programs to best serve our students and our community.

To meet the needs of our students and the communities, we have developed an innovative approach to health sciences education that excels disciplinary boundaries, encourages students to take control of their learning, and emphasizes student-centered design and independence. Our students leave our college with a firm understanding of healthcare delivery systems and science underlying state of digital health technologies.

We continually develop transformative educational, research, community engagement and innovation experiences with collaborators around the nation and beyond to ensure our students possess the requisite knowledge and skills and our community’s health problem can be solved.
