Welcome to Assosa University College of Computing and Informatics and thank you for visiting our site. Since its establishment in 2004 E.C., the current College of Computing and Informatics former Faculty of Engineering and Technology has been a beacon of innovation and academic excellence. Grounded in the vision of providing cutting-edge education, the college began with three pioneering undergraduate programs: Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information Science. Currently, we take pride in providing three successful undergraduate programs and postgraduate program, MSc in Information Technology.

Our commitment to being an idol of excellence is reflected in every aspect of our institution. With a dynamic team of 45 active instructors and 18 dedicated administrative staff, we are creating an environment where 369 undergraduate (282 regular and 87 weekend) students and 29 postgraduate students can flourish. In our college, we have a total of 12 computer labs and 2 modern smart rooms designed for practical course demonstrations.

The College of Computing and Informatics sets itself apart by prioritizing teaching and learning, research endeavors, community service projects, and technology transfer initiatives, aligning closely with the university’s overarching motto. Currently our college is actively engaged in research, website development, application development, network design and installation, as well as the maintenance of computer hardware and software within the community.
