ASU Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Public Service and Human Resource Development Bureau and Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Management Institute
The agreement was made among the three organizations namely Assosa University,Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Public Service and Human Resource Development Bureau and Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Management Instituteon June1/2017 at Bilen Dana Hotel, Assosa Town. It was signed in the presence of expertise and organizational leaders from each institution and which lasts for three years (2010-2012 E.C).
The objectives of the agreement are to build capacity which enables the regional government organizations to practice change reforms, to create supportive leaders and public servants in socio-economical activities of the region, and to create favorable conditions in avoiding problems of good governance by mobilizing human resources in organized way.
On top of this, Mr. Addisu Adame (Director for Transformation and Good governance Directorate at ASU), presented the overview of the agreement document to the groups for further discussion on it. Here, hot discussions were made; constructive comments on the ways of planning the activities were given, and implementing and evaluating mechanisms were suggested clearly.

Accordingly, the groups arrived up on agreement in the areas of developing institutional efficiencies of the region based on change reform programs supported by research findings, human resource development areas, ways of improving work practices and change structures, sharing good practices, consultancy service, and giving immediate solutions for issues related to good governance by including them to the regular plan.
Finally, Dr. Haimanot Disassa (ASU Research and Community Service Vice president), Mr. Taye Bulo (BGRS Management Institute Director) and Mr. Abdisa Morka(BGRS Public Service and Human Resource Development Bureau Deputy Chair man) signed the agreement document.
