ASU gave Leadership skills training for primary school Female principals
ASU in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Education Bureau provided Leadership Skills training for 42 female primary school principals who were selected from the region.

The training lasted for three Months with the aim of improving female participation in leadership which is important issue and given more attention in the 2nd Growth and Transformation Plan of the country.
During their staying in the University they have given courses related to school leadership practices. Accordingly, they have covered topics about the way to make strong relationship with the community and how to involve them, ways of operating school finance and ways of handling the stakeholders for the strength of the school. Additionally, cross cutting issues like special need education, HIV/AIDS club, female affirmative action and other school level clubs were included in the training.
