Assosa University's Constructions progress
The University building construction are started soon after the laid down of the corner stone of ASU since 2011. It is engaging in phases (phase one to five) and budget was allocated based on the plan of Assosa University construction and project office. Here, in each academic year some amount of the building phases were completed and followed by another phase.

Similarly, some of the constructions under phase five like seven latrine blocks were completed and ready for service. Beside this, student’s business complex and lounge/ cafeteria are also functional.

On the other hand, the University’s stadium, fence, the main gate and the student’s clinic and phase two infrastructures such as waste treatment plant and cafeteria are still under construction.

Regarding to the budget allocation for the stadium, from 36,148,395.79 (thirty six million one hundred forty eight thousand three hundred ninety five and seventy nine), 12,144,662.02 (twelve million one hundred forty four thousand six hundred sixty two point zero two cents) birr were already expended and 45 percent of the construction was completed. According to Mr. Yesho Hirpha, engineer of project office, this stadium has the capacity to accommodate 10,000 people once.

Similarly, 33,321,635.02 (thirty three million three hundred twenty one thousand six hundred thirty five point zero two cents) birr were allocated for the University main gate and fence construction and 15 percent of the construction was completed.
