Message from Vice President for Administration and Student Services
Benishangul-Gumuzregional State is the home land for Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. It is bounded by Amhara, Oromia and Gambella Regional states and the Republic of Sudan in the North, East , South and West respectively. It stretches along the Sudanese border between 90 35'' and 110 39'' N western and eastern limits are between 34020'' to 360 30'' E.
Assosa Universityis located 665 km north west of Addis Ababa at Asossa town which is the capital city of Benishngul Gumuz Regional State.
Assosa University is structured with seven colleges and Three Schools. Currently our University is hostingmore than10,152 students. Of these students, more than 8,124 are regular students.
The Vice President for Administration and Student Services (VP-ASS) is one of the four vice president offices. The Vice-President for Administration and Students Services (VPASS) of Assosa universuty implement and supports the mission of the University by providing people-oriented, technologically enhanced, and fiscally sound operational management in partnership with colleges, staff, students, and the campus community.The office of VP-ASS plays the leading and coordination role with respective directorates and office in Mobilizing and Administering the human resources, financial resources and material resources in order to provide effective and efficient services for the internal and external communities, as well as to create pleasant working environment for teaching -learning core process of the university. More over the office provides the overall services for the regular students.
The vice president for Administration and Student Service structured in to five directorates and two offices at the university level. They are:
1. Procurement-and-property-management Directorate
2. Human Resource Management Directorate,
4. Facility-management-and-general-service Directorate
5. Guard-and-security-facilitator office
The university is currently providing relatively very good housing facilities and other Modern services to its students in the campus with limited resource of the federal government that makes our university the best place for living and studying in the country relatively.
